  3. ' Welcome  to  the  CMenu  system.   All  features  of  this '
  4. ' system may be accessed  by normal  means or by a mouse. If '
  5. ' you have  a mouse@ just  place the arrow over the item you '
  6. ' wish to execute and press either of the buttons.           '
  7. '                                                            '
  8. ' This menu system was designed to be as helpful and easy to '
  9. ' use as possible while still being useful.  With this menu@ '
  10. ' you  now have  a means of  setting@ deleting  or  renaming '
  11. ' directories.  You  can search  an  ASCII/Text  file or  do '
  12. ' formatted printouts of any ASCII/Text file.  You will also '
  13. ' be able to change the attributes of any file you may have. '
  14. ' This means that you can hide files@ make  a file read only '
  15. ' or make it appear to be a system file.                     '

  18. ' In addition  to everything already stated@ you can create@ '
  19. ' edit and  delete small  batch files.  This will give you a '
  20. ' means of building batch files to execute your own programs.'

  22. ' Some other features included  are security@ menu selection '
  23. ' updates@ DOS commands@ program  customization and a screen '
  24. ' saver feature.                                             '
  25. '                                                            '
  26. ' The security feature will allow  you to require a name and '
  27. ' password to be entered before entering this menu. There is '
  28. ' also a LockOut feature  that enables  you lock your screen '
  29. ' up as any time.  To get  back in@  just enter the password '
  30. ' you  set  up.  Once  the  password  is  entered@   you are '

  33. ' returned to where you left off. All security can be either '
  34. ' turned on or off at any time.                              '
  35. '                                                            '
  36. ' Adding new menu selections  is very simple.  Select F4 and '
  37. ' then key in the selection title and the command to execute '
  38. ' when  this  entry  is  selected.  The executable  line may '
  39. ' either point to a  batch file@ the actual file to execute@ '
  40. ' or you may stack DOS/BATCH File commands using "~".        '
  41. '                                                            '
  42. ' After entering your  selection@ you  may then use the sort '
  43. ' feature to keep you selections in order. This way you just '
  44. ' enter the 1st character of the selection and it  takes you '
  45. ' to all selections beginning with that letter.              '

  48. ' The DOS commands menu  will enable  you to copy@ delete or '
  49. ' rename files.  If you wish to do other  DOS commands@ just '
  50. ' select  the Other option  and you will  be given a line in '
  51. ' which to enter the command.                                '

  53. ' By using the program customization feature@ you can change '
  54. ' any color  you see.  After changing  colors@ if you decide '
  55. ' that you do not like the new  colors@ you can enter a 9 in '
  56. ' the  field and  it will  reset that  color to its original '
  57. ' value.                                                     '

  59. ' Another   feature is  the  ability to   set the  length of '
  60. ' inactivity time before  the screen goes blank.  This value '

  63. ' can be from 1 to 9999 seconds.  Once this time is reached@ '
  64. ' the screen is cleared and a message displayed  telling you '
  65. ' to press any key  to restore screen.  You may also execute '
  66. ' another program upon the time out period being reached.    '

  68. ' Two last features are the ability to set the date/time and '
  69. ' get  information  about  the  PC that  you are using. This '
  70. ' information will tell you how much disk space is left@ DOS '
  71. ' version and much more about your system.                   '

  73. ' If at any time you need  to go  to DOS@ you can press F5 - '
  74. ' DOS Shell. After completing the task you needed@ just type '
  75. ' in EXIT and  you will be  returned to the menu.  This is a '
