' CMenu Help '
' '
' Welcome to the CMenu system. All features of this '
' system may be accessed by normal means or by a mouse. If '
' you have a mouse@ just place the arrow over the item you '
' wish to execute and press either of the buttons. '
' '
' This menu system was designed to be as helpful and easy to '
' use as possible while still being useful. With this menu@ '
' you now have a means of setting@ deleting or renaming '
' directories. You can search an ASCII/Text file or do '
' formatted printouts of any ASCII/Text file. You will also '
' be able to change the attributes of any file you may have. '
' This means that you can hide files@ make a file read only '
' or make it appear to be a system file. '
' Page 2 '
' '
' In addition to everything already stated@ you can create@ '
' edit and delete small batch files. This will give you a '
' means of building batch files to execute your own programs.'
' '
' Some other features included are security@ menu selection '
' updates@ DOS commands@ program customization and a screen '
' saver feature. '
' '
' The security feature will allow you to require a name and '
' password to be entered before entering this menu. There is '
' also a LockOut feature that enables you lock your screen '
' up as any time. To get back in@ just enter the password '
' you set up. Once the password is entered@ you are '
' Page 3 '
' '
' returned to where you left off. All security can be either '
' turned on or off at any time. '
' '
' Adding new menu selections is very simple. Select F4 and '
' then key in the selection title and the command to execute '
' when this entry is selected. The executable line may '
' either point to a batch file@ the actual file to execute@ '
' or you may stack DOS/BATCH File commands using "~". '
' '
' After entering your selection@ you may then use the sort '
' feature to keep you selections in order. This way you just '
' enter the 1st character of the selection and it takes you '
' to all selections beginning with that letter. '
' Page 4 '
' '
' The DOS commands menu will enable you to copy@ delete or '
' rename files. If you wish to do other DOS commands@ just '
' select the Other option and you will be given a line in '
' which to enter the command. '
' '
' By using the program customization feature@ you can change '
' any color you see. After changing colors@ if you decide '
' that you do not like the new colors@ you can enter a 9 in '
' the field and it will reset that color to its original '
' value. '
' '
' Another feature is the ability to set the length of '
' inactivity time before the screen goes blank. This value '
' Page 5 '
' '
' can be from 1 to 9999 seconds. Once this time is reached@ '
' the screen is cleared and a message displayed telling you '
' to press any key to restore screen. You may also execute '
' another program upon the time out period being reached. '
' '
' Two last features are the ability to set the date/time and '
' get information about the PC that you are using. This '
' information will tell you how much disk space is left@ DOS '
' version and much more about your system. '
' '
' If at any time you need to go to DOS@ you can press F5 - '
' DOS Shell. After completing the task you needed@ just type '
' in EXIT and you will be returned to the menu. This is a '
' Page 6 '
' '
' better means to temporarily exit to DOS. '
' '
' If at any time you need help@ just press the F1 key. Help '
' is available for all features of this system. '
' '
' Thanks for using this menu system and have fun. '
